Our hospital has advanced equipment and technologies, including comprehensive in-house testing for accurate diagnosis, digital x-ray, surgical suites, dental suites, and a pharmacy. From routine preventive care to early detection and treatment of a wide range of conditions and diseases, we have the expertise to provide the highest standard of care for your pet. We also serve Renton, Issaquah, Bellevue, and Tukwila.

Dr. Mihai Aluas
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Aluas is the proud new owner of Cedar River Animal Hospital. He grew up in Romania where his love of animals began at an early age. After graduating from veterinary school in 1998, he and his wife moved to Chicago and started a family. In 2003, he graduated North American Veterinary License program at Iowa State University. He then returned to Chicago where he practiced as an associate veterinarian for 5 years.
Dr. Aluas is passionate about veterinary medicine and has a strong background and interest in surgery, pain management, and emergency and critical care. He performs a wide variety of soft tissue procedures as well as orthopedic surgeries. He also enjoys managing internal medicine cases or educating clients about disease prevention and the daily needs of their pets’.
In 2008, Dr. Aluas visited Seattle and quickly fell in love with the Pacific Northwest which is the reason he and his family decided to make it their permanent home. Dr. Aluas, his wife and his two children love spending time with their 10-year-old lab who thinks he is still a puppy and taking care of their aquarium where they house a lot of fish! His hobbies include, fishing, snowboarding, and traveling, but he most enjoys spending time his family and friends!

Dr. Tammy Majeski
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Majeski joined Cedar River Animal Hospital in the fall of 2019. She received her B.A. in History from UCLA and, after working in the health policy department at RAND in Santa Monica, CA, returned to school to complete her veterinary medical coursework. She earned her D.V.M. from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. Dr. Majeski has special interests in geriatric medicine, grief and loss/support, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and a growing interest in acupuncture. As an avid sports fan, in her spare time you may find Dr. Tammy rooting for all teams Seattle or dissecting an NCAA basketball bracket. She lives in Seattle with her wife and 4 rescue critters—dogs Jet and Otis, and cats Georgia and Louis. She is thrilled to be part of the team at Cedar River and looks forward to helping serve your pet’s healthcare needs.

Brittany
Hospital Manager
Brittany has ways known she wanted to work with animals in some way and has worked in the veterinary field since 2014. Much of that time was spent working in emergency medicine where she first met Dr. Aluas. She loved the fast paced environment of an emergency hospital but was ready to make the change to a general practice clinic. She loves getting to know all the pets and clients that come into Cedar River everyday. In her off time she enjoys reading, camping and spending time with her husband, Mike, her 2 dogs Guppy the shar pei mix and Thor the lab mix as well as her 2 cats Bellina and Wrecky.

Sarah
Licensed Vet Tech
Sarah started working in veterinary medicine after completing Pima Medical Institute’s Veterinary Technician Program where she received her associate’s degree. She has had a strong passion and unique love for animals since she was young, which led her to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician.
In her free time you can find her cruising around in her project car, watching movies, or relaxing at home with her husband and their various pets – Rocco the corgi, Kiki the kitty, Sakura the bearded dragon, Comrade the tortoise, and Darla the guinea pig. -
Kira
Licensed Vet Tech
Kira Savage knew at a young age that she wanted to have a career in Veterinary Medicine. She is originally from Southern California and moved to Washington in 2012 to attend Washington State University. There, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science/Pre-Veterinary. After graduating, she decided to go to PIMA Medical Institute to earn her Associates’s degree and become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Kira’s favorite aspects of veterinary medicine include assisting in surgeries and making a positive impact on animals and their owners.
Aside from working, Kira loves to go to the gym, hike, camp, and hang out with her husband and their pug, “Mocha.”

Liberty
Vet Assistant
Liberty has been working at Cedar River Animal Hospital since 2019 as a Veterinary Assistant. She is currently attending Pima Medical Institute to earn her associate’s degree. Her love for animals and this field continues to grow with the fast-paced work environment, hands-on experience, and endless support from her coworkers! Between school and work, you can find Liberty watching her favorite Netflix shows with her favorite feline friend Lucky Ducky.
